This shirt is made from antique French bed linens, circa 1890s-1920s. The original piece was decorated with ladderwork, a style of counted-thread embroidery where threads are removed from the fabric and the remaining threads are gathered into a pattern. The initials B.L. are monogrammed in satin stitch on the back.
