Blizzard Fringe Short Sleeve Shirt - M/L
This shirt is made from a candlewick bedspread, circa 1920s-1940s. The candlewicking technique was common among bedspreads in colonial America and was named for the thread it used, meant for candle wicks. Makers would weave small sticks into their blankets, removing the sticks afterwards to reveal a pattern of tight loops. A machine-made version of the technique has remained a popular choice for bedspreads and pillowcases. Hand-mending throughout.
