Floral Merry-Go-Round Kids' Shirt

This shirt is made from a Double Wedding Ring quilt top, circa 1920s-1940s. A quilt top is the light patchwork layer made before being sewn into a quilt. Some of the scraps in this quilt are feedsack prints, named for their imitation of the small, repeating patterns found on sacks of grain and other bulk foods. Hand-mending throughout.
