Floral Monogrammed Trousers - 29

These trousers are made from antique French linen bedding, circa 1890s-1920s. The fabric was embroidered with a silk-stitched "I.M." monogram and embellished with ladderwork, a needlework technique in which threads are removed from the fabric and the remaining threads are bound together in a ladder-like pattern. The trousers have a mid-rise and a wide leg. Hand-mending throughout.
