This shirt is made of a jacquard blanket, circa 1930s-1950s. Jacquard fabrics, made using a loom attachment invented at the turn of the 19th century by Frenchman Joseph Marie Jacquard, are able to incorporate complex patterns directly into their weave. Hand-mending throughout.
