Bode and Levi’s® Studded Barrel Racer Jeans

This is a pair of Bode Levi’s® Barrel Racer jeans, named after Emily’s childhood pony, Checkers, a retired barrel-racer. They’re cut from plain blue denim, worn by rodeo riders and Americans everywhere.

The Studded Barrel Racers feature copper studding with an antique finish down each side seam. They are personalized with hidden embroidery at the fly, a printed photograph of Emily and Checkers on the internal pocket bag, and a woven label reading “Blue Jeans & Chaps Horse Show, 1996,” an event where Emily and Checkers show jumped. The Levi’s label at the back pocket, “Mr. Checkers’s Favorite Pair,” was developed from extensive research in the Levi’s archive.
