Ladder Egg Shell Shirt
This shirt is made from antique French linens, circa 1890s-1920s. The piece is decorated with ladderwork, a style of counted-thread embroidery where the distinctive ladder design is achieved by removing threads from the warp and weft of the fabric and the remaining threads are gathered into a pattern. Hand-mending throughout.
