Lime Pom Pom Shorts - XS
These shorts are made from a chenille bedspread from the early 20th century. The word chenille comes from the French word for caterpillar and refers to a needlework technique using tufts of yarn. From the 1910s to the 1950s, a rich chenille trade flourished across communities in the South and Appalachia. "Tufters," as the makers of chenille called themselves, made the blankets at home and advertised by hanging their wares along highways.
