Pearly Royal Skirt
Around the turn of the century a group of English traders started decorating their clothes with pearl buttons to drawn attention to their charitable fundraising efforts. The Pearly Kings and Queens and affiliated organizations continue their charitable work to this day.
Inspired by antique Pearly Kings and Queens costumes, this faille skirt is decorated with assorted pearl buttons. Some of the buttons are turn-of-the-century, purchased from a now-defunct pearl button factory in Iowa.
