Pilea Trousers

These trousers are inspired by a redwork pillow sham, circa 1860s-1890s. Redwork embroidery became popular in the US after the first colorfast dye was made available in a shade called "Turkey red." The silhouette is that of a traditional trouser—high rise, straight leg.
