Rawlins Coat
Production of Western film and television programs hit a peak in the 1940s and 1950s, spawning a trend for cowboy advertising and ephemera. Children’s cowboy wear was especially popular, from the Daisy Red Ryder BB gun to Roy Rogers and Hopalong Cassidy costumes.
A 1950s children's Western jacket inspired this denim coat, which is embroidered with red-and-yellow chainstitching. Two horseheads on the pockets read "Rodeo Bodeo."
