Tropical Gem Kids' Shirt
This shirt is made from an embroidered tablecloth, circa 1950s-1960s. The large flower motifs are worked in cross-stitching, but the tablecloth also features diamond-shaped drawnwork embellishments—a needlework technique in which certain threads are removed and the remaining threads are tied together into geometric patterns. Hand-mending throughout.
