These trousers are made from deadstock toile from the late 20th century, likely intended for curtains. Toile is short for "toile de Jouy," meaning "cloth from Jouy," and was made famous by a factory in Jouy-en-Josas, a small town outside Paris.

The trousers are cut with a mid-rise and a wide leg. Hand-mending throughout.
